At the Heart of Film and Community in the Gwendraeth Valley

Cross Hands Cinema is an independent Welsh charity that generally shows blockbusters and smaller films three times a week to people in the Gwendraeth Valley and beyond.

The Hall is located on Carmarthen Road, Cross Hands, by taking a right at the Cross Hands traffic lights if coming from the roundabout or M4. If coming from the Llanelli area, via Tumble, take a left at the lights. Just follow the road up by some 400 metres and the Hall is on the left, right next to Cross Hands Primary School.

The Cinema has an ample parking area adjacent to the Hall.

Films are generally shown on Friday, Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7pm ~ doors open 30 minutes before all times. We sometimes show matinees on Saturdays at 2pm.

We also have several live events in our calendar, including regular comedy nights, tribute acts and variety nights!

Our Mission

The Cinema cannot always compete with commercial multiplexes like APOLLO, VUE, or ODEON for first-week releases, but we do screen big films as close to the initial release as possible. We also have themed film nights, Back On The Big Screen events (dressing up encouraged!) and Silver Screenings (including a cuppa, a chat and lovely cake!!) We offer a service to the communities of Carmarthenshire with a very reasonable pricing structure so that ALL in Carmarthenshire can afford to come and watch a film.
