Community Outreach

At Cross Hands Cinema, we believe great cinema belongs to everyone. Our community outreach programme is dedicated to bringing people together through the shared experience of film, creating opportunities to connect, learn, and be inspired. By working with local schools, charities, community groups, and organisations, we aim to make cinema more accessible, inclusive, and welcoming for all. Whether through special screenings, educational events, or collaborative projects, we're proud to play an active role in supporting our community and celebrating the people who make Cross Hands such a vibrant place to live.

Tesco Stronger Starts

Cross Hands Hall Cinema and Community Centre were awarded a Tesco Stronger Starts Grant to provide a special event for children and families meeting the criteria to attend. The attendance criteria were set in collaboration with Tesco and our local schools, who assisted in distributing invitations.

We were delighted to welcome 168 children and adults to a screening of TOY STORY 5. Great fun was had by all, including dressing up, popcorn, drinks, and some Toy Story 5 surprises! All wrapped up in an especially warm welcome from our loyal and hard-working volunteers!

We are very grateful to the Tesco Stronger Starts Team for enabling this event to take place, and enormous thanks to our managerial team and volunteers who contribute time and energy to making sure this beautiful venue continues to thrive.
